New Engine Placed in Service

June 11, 2024

The tradition of push in ceremonies pays homage to the 1800's fire service when horses, not able to back the carts into their bays, were detached allowing the firefighters to push the carts into the station.

With a bit of a push from our membership (and a little assistance from modern diesel technology), we're happy to say our new engine is in service!
Engine 8 is a 1500 GPM Pierce Heavy Duty Rescue Pumper built with the growing community in mind.

A huge thanks is in order for the build committee, TOBFD administration, TOB Mayor and Town Council, the TOB Fleet Maintenance Facility, and to our members for their hard work putting this project together.

Stay tuned for more information on the build, layout, and photo ops as final details are completed.
